For those of you who don’t know, I’m spending the 2017-18 school year in Israel, teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) to students in grades 3-6. I’ve been thinking about a long-term project for my third graders, and decided on a class picture dictionary. I couldn’t find a template that matched my needs, so I did what I do best – I made my own!
I made *two* versions of the Bilingual Picture Dictionary: one English learners, and one for Hebrew learners. The templates are very similar though, and you can use just one, or both.
The Bilingual Picture Dictionary covers and the dictionary template sheets are in black & white, saving you lots of money and ink, and giving your learners some extra coloring fun!
You can use these for English and any other language (or Hebrew and any other language), so if you’re studying English and Spanish, or Hebrew and Arabic, give these Bilingual Picture Dictionary pages a try! You can also use them purely for native language vocabulary; you can write the vocabulary words at the top, and then write the part of speech or synonym at the bottom in place of a translation. Do what works for your learners!
