Shalom! This week’s review is for a math app my boys use 3-4 times a week, called Mischaq Yeledim Cheshbon (Math Game for Kids); you can search for it in the Apple Store using the phrase “kids math Heb.”

This Hebrew Math Game for Kids is a simple and free way for children (preschool-grade 1) to practice adding and subtracting. There are two arithmetic levels, one for adding (blue) and subtracting (red) numbers up to 10, and the other for adding (green) and subtracting (purple) numbers up to 20.

The activity is straightforward, with clear numbers and bold colors, and after every six problems, students take a break by playing a short game that lets them slide a character back and forth to catch falling objects to collect as many points as possible. Sounds weird…but hopefully the pictures will clear it up.

(This is a free app, so the adds are prominent but don’t interfere with the math problems in any way.)

My two big boys have workbooks for their main math texts (Grade 1 Brain Quest for Mr. PreK4, and Grade 1 Math Mammoth for Mr. K), but Math Game for Kids is a great supplement, that helps them develop and improve mental math skills. It’s definitely one of the most-used apps in our class!

Todah for reading, and don’t forget to check back next Revi’i for another review!
